Shout Out To Pam Rudolph

I'm constantly amazed by the number of people who've stepped up to help with the completion of JOHNNIE BE GOOD. Last week Pam Rudolph, a great fan and friend of Johnnie, hosted her second JBG fundraiser at Boogies in Maryville, IL. The photo to the right of Frances Johnson with Pam was taken at the fundraiser. Pam has been a fan of Johnnie Johnson for many years; in fact I first met her in Fairmont, West Virginia five years ago when I had taken a camera crew to Johnnie's hometown for the Johnnie Johnson Jazz and Blues Festival. Pam traveled all the way to West Virginia to see JJ perform. Johnnie's final performance, a few days before his death, was at the wedding reception of Pam's daughter Stephanie.

Rock and Roll Trivia Fundraiser

Speaking of fundraisers, we're planning a rock and roll trivia night for March 2009. Give me some feedback from you trivia fans. What do you like about trivia nights? Did you see anything cool at a trivia night that you can share with me?

Regional Arts Commission Grant

The other good news is a recent grant from the Regional Arts Commission of St. Louis. Big thank you to the RAC for supporting my documentary.
